Before leaving Sofia, Chess.FM had a chance to interview both players and create a first hand account of the match…
Kamsky’s First Interview
[Audio: 12 minutes]
Time trouble was Kamsky’s biggest problem, but as any amateur player knows, time trouble itself generally has a psychological root….Kamsky offers a match post-mortem, and finally grants a small window inside his team’s efforts, and the months leading up to the challenge…
Topalov with Trophy
It was not the smoothest performance, but Topalov applied pressure to Kamsky at key moments and exploited his opportunities when they came…Responding to critics of his inclusion in the current cycle at all, Topalov said he realizes that he was, in effect, given a “privilege,” but, echoing a view expressed by FIDE Deputy President Georgios Makropoulos at the closing ceremony, he regards it as “compensation” for FIDE’s changes to the World Championship following the match with Kramnik in 2006. He expects no more such privileges…
This was provided by ChessFM and Macauley Peterson.
“Toplaov expects no more such privileges…”
Yes, because now he is in the WCC final and even loosing the match against Anand will at least secure him a place in the next candidates tournament.
The same ADDITIONAL privilege would he have had if he had lost against Kamsky!!!

First. Se will see what will come of this.
Second. Topalov never asked for this. In fact he said it imediatelly that changes during the cycle should not be made.
Third. I don’t know why you keep on bashing Topalov. Yes he made a mistake with his stupid accusations against Kramnik, but other than that he is really a nice guy.
loosing????????????
There is no such word in English.
I,the Bulgarian know that.
And you pretend to know everything.
To defend the world;)
Try to learn your own language first.
There is: loosen up
There is: set me loose.
Pronounced with ssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss
It ain’t the same thing,is it?
To lose is “to lose”.

You lost to World’s Number One,try to be fair, for once 😉
BTW,I’ve never been across the Atlantic and am not particularly interested in going there.
You guys,do not help me.

Guys,
Topalov did only one mistake. To play in Elista. With some cables arround:) What really is amazing for me is that Susan, Moro and … enjoyed it. Ciao
Topalov is without character. Do we need a champ like that? Nuf said.
Topalov is without character? Realy? What character is needed to play like WC on territory of your rival? What character is needed to sustain dirty campaign on pro Kramnik medias like Kramnikbase and rusian trolls on the net, to return stronger than ever? What character is needed to accept suspension for more than 3 years from WC cicle, when you are win the San Luis 2005 categoricaly, to play chess under pressure of trolls and Kramnikbase with such energy and passion for win? Tell me about character of real champions. If Anand – Topalov match take place, please be there again to tell me about characters!
