He is long-lost Vlad’s grandfather, who was imprisoned in US for playing bad chess. Now they met again after so many years.
He is some journalist who payed a lot of $ for an interview with Vlad.
He is well-known. Probably more than Kram. I forgot his name, though. He became major of Mexico City last year.
He is Vladimir’s former parol officer. HaHaHaHaHa.

Hi Susan
Now that you have gone to Mexico and met Frederic Friedel of Chessbase, (An alliance of Kramnik) the volume of Kramnik pictures on this blog has risen dramatically, Is this a way of trying to show Kramnik in a glorious light to chess novices as well as those who have a disdain for him (One reason or the other?) or to please Chessbase and Kramnik fans alike?
Hello,
Is it not financially beneficial for Kramnik not to win Mexico and play the winner (Most likely Anand)?
Kramnik’s preparation in this tournament has been very impressive, but one thing for sure is I find it hard to believe he will want to play Topalov again. So what is my point?,
Judging Kramniks Strong preparation so far for this tournament he can so easily be leading.
1. Against Anand he had the chance to make life incredibly more difficult in the rook ending by playing 37…h5-h4.
2. Against Grischuk he missed countless wins in a complicated but technical position (Which is one of his main strengths)
3. He had a significant edge against Gelfand for a brief moment (I’ll let him of this one, the game was very complex)
Basically Kramnik’s preparation appears best followed by Anand’s.
Here’s a thought, could it just be Kramnik is giving the impression he is fighting hard when in reality he is playing for second or third, after all it is financially more beneficial or him, FIDE and chessbase in the long run to have a match with the winner here?
I hope Anand wins and does to Kramnik what he has done to others, REFUSE A REMATCH OR MATCH and tell Kramnik to go and Qualify; something he has never done Successfully. If Anand accepts a mach with Kramnik (albeit he wins Mexico) then there was no point of complaining earlier about how FIDE has been unfair to him.
And before you lot say I am a Topalov troll supporter, I would also suggest he also goes and re-qualify again, To recap FIDE should alter this nonsense shenanigans they have created (Which I personally think is just a money making scheme) and accept Mexico winner as Champ, and every body else go through the qualifying stages, with the top 10 players getting some slight privileges in where they enter the cycle. It’s up to Anand to take a stance if he wins Mexico.
Anand is better than Kramnik. That’s why he leads Kramnik by one point.

Anand can not do that. If he wins this tournament and does not play against Kramnik, he will lose the title by forfeit. And the title will be Kramnik’s. It’s as simple as that.
Now you can go on and contemplate with your conspiracy theories.
This is a nice guy Boris Postovsky from Russia (nowadays probably living in the USA) but I have seen him only once in Polanica Zdroj tournament (Rubinstein Memorial in Poland) several years ago.
This is Orville Reddenbocker Kramniks favorite popcorn maker. Vlad is placing a huge order because in Russia popcorn is banned. lol
That would be rather eerie, considering the ol’ Corn Man has been dead for about 10 years….
It is indeed Boris Poikovsky. Looked his pic up on Google and it’s definitely him. Congratulations to the winners.
Correction: Boris Postovsky
