14.10.2015 – Alexander Grischuk from Russia emerged winner of the 2015 FIDE World Blitz Chess Championship after concluding the event with 15,5/21 points, half a point ahead of the nearest followers. Magnus Carlsen wins 2015 FIDE World Rapid Championship

10.10.2015 – Magnus Carlsen convincingly won the 2015 FIDE World Rapid Chess Championship by concluding the event with 11,5/15 points, a full point ahead of the nearest followers. Carlsen retained the title that he won in in 2014 in Dubai, UAE. Visit FIDE site.

Sergey Karjakin is the 2015 FIDE World Cup winner

05.10.2015 – Sergey Karjakin has staged a miraculous comeback by equalizing the score in the 2015 FIDE World Cup final after being 0-2 down in the first two games. In the blitz time control we had it all: great opening preparation, wonderful tactical shots and, inevitably, blunders. Karjakin won both blitz games and emerged winner of the 2015 FIDE World Cup! European Club Cup 2015 concluded

26.10.2015 – The 31st European Club Cup and the 20th European Club Cup for Women finished in Skopje, FYR Macedonia, with the closing ceremony held in hotel Aleksandar Palace. Russian team Siberia became the winner of the Men`s tournament. Visit FIDE site.

Winners of Asian Seniors Chess Championships 2015

26.10.2015 – IM Mahmood Lodhi of Pakistan won the Asian Seniors championship held 24 September to 2 October 2015 in Larestan, Iran. Wazeer Ahmad Khan of India won the over-65 category. Among the women, CM Helen Milligan of Australia won the over-50 category while Bakhyt Badamshina of Kazakhstan won the over-65 women’s category. Visit FIDE site.

European Youth Chess Championship 2015 finished

01.10.2015 – The 25th European Youth Chess Championship, the most numerous Championship in the ECU calendar finished yesterday in Porec/Croatia. After 9 days of great fights, 12 new European Youth Champions were crowned. Visit FIDE site.
