Tour Schedule



June 10 Departure Chicago to Moscow.

June 11 Arriving Moscow. Connected flight to Siberia. Arriving Siberia.

June 12 Tour of Khantu-Mansijsk – the host city of the World Chess Cup and 2012 World Chess Olympiad. Celebration of the Independence Day in Russia.

June 13 Master-class with participants of the International chess tournament in Pojkovskij – Grandmasters Kariakin, Jakovenko, Onischuk, Balogan, Sutovskij. A special session with World Chess Champion GM Anatoly Karpov. Scholastic chess tournament – day 1

June 14 Scholastic tournament – day 2

June 15 Departure Siberia to Moscow. Transfer to the train station. Overnight train to Voronezh.

June 16 Arriving Voronezh. Scholastic chess tournament as past of the Voronezh International Chess Festival.

June 17 Voronezh International Chess Festival. Departure Voronezh to Moscow.

June 18 Arriving Moscow. Tour of the city and Kremlin. Visit Central Russian chess club (Botwinnik Club), Museum of Chess, and the headquarter of the Russian Chess Federation. Overnight train to St. Petersburg.

June 19 Arriving St. Petersburg. Tour of St. Petersburg. Visit Hermitage Art Museum and Winter Palace for the Russian Czars.

June 20 Tour of the Czar’s villages – Petergoff and Pushkin. Visit summer residence of the Russian Czars and Catherine the Great Palace.

June 21 Departure St. Petersburg to Chicago. Arriving Chicago at 4:00 pm.



The cost of the tour, including all domestic transportation, lodging, cultural program, chess-related fees in Russia is $1,500. The current round-trip cost for the airfare to Russia is no more than $1,200 and will be depended on the size of the group.
