A series of documentaries about great personalities in the history of Cuba, such as José Martí, Carlos Manuel de Céspedes and Carlos J. Finlay, is currently under production by the Mundo Latino studies.
Sources from the production and distributing company of audio-visual materials announced today that the movies deal with the lives of personalities of the art, politics, science and sport.
Each documentary, which will last 45 minutes long, will be directed by famous movie makers from the island and the first one, by producer Otto Miguel Guzmán, will be dedicated to José Raúl Capablanca, chess world champion from 1921 to 1927.
Mundo Latino, which was founded more than two decades ago, has produced more than 450 documentaries, which has been spread over more than 58 countries.
