12 Italian players are going to contest the 70th Italian Championship 2010. 11 rounds from 23 November to 4 December in Siena. Games start every day s at 15 p.m. except for the last round (11). 29th November will be a free day during which there will be a simul on 20 boards with Fabiano Caruana ( h16:15).
Last year Fabiano Caruana was absent because he was busy playing in Word Cup 2009 but the Italian championship, won by Lexy Ortega, still had the best average ELO of its history: 2460.
However the 2010 edition with Caruana playing will break the record again with an average 2486.
