After Peter Svidler (ICC: P-Svidler) lost to Magnus Carlsen (ICC: Magnus) in the second game of the tiebreak, the Norwegian needed only a draw with Hikaru Nakamura (ICC: Smallville) to secure his spot in the Final.
Nakamura went for complications, relying on his blitz acumen in a desperate situation.
