each one is racing in the opposite direction.. Naka is just a strong GM, not a WC material.. His rise in the past two years was due to Gary’s material.
I think Naka should step back for a while and refuel. Everyone goes through what he’s experiencing. I am a fan of both, Carlsen and Naka and I would like to see them go head to head in a world champ match. However, time is running out as Fabiano is looking like he might be the real threat.
Nakamura is dropping like a brick since the Olympiad. He just couldn’t handle all the distractions of the London Soho scene. In his interview with McCauley he looked and sounded confused, distracted, and exhausted.
I agree Naka is in all probability fatigued and need some time away from the board. But, I don’t agree that he’s just a strong GM, not a WC material. He has already taken on most of the other elite GMs. I hope he takes a break and comes back relentless.
due to Gary material or although it.
Kamsky is too old to be WC
Kasparov’s 2851 record rating is already lying in a coffin, mortally wounded. It just needs one final bullet to the head to put it out of its misery and lay it to rest finally. And that will come from Carlsen’s next tournament.
Long Live Carlsen!!
Ratings are inflated. There are enough GM’s to populate a small city.
Comparing this lot with players of ten, let alone 30 or 40 years ago is probably meaningless considering what electronic resources are currently available.
That being said, Nakamura does need time off. Don’t think he’ll ever seriously contend for the WC mostly due to his temperment.
