The Chucky train, in full speed and heavily MTel loaded, crashed into the the Carlsen solidity.
The Kid is only a flash in the pan.
5 years from now he will have faded away and turned to trading stock futures.
ps bet he chokes last two games again.
I’m fan of the Norwegian, but kudos to Ivanchuk for not playing safe against Magnus. A fair game and a fair win.
The kid is the real thing….I’m sort of frustrated but also amused by those who can’t see it. Time will tell oc course but Carlsen is the next big thing.

carlsen the big thing ? 18 years old, 2765 elos … HALLO ??? CAN YOU HEAR ME ???
18 years old
2765 elos
HALLO ? CAN YOU HEAR ME ???
Agree with Mike.
It IS wierd that people keep questioning if Carlsen is the real deal.
What does Anon mean? Hallo?
Isn’t he agreeing with the previous post? I don’t understand AMericans.
Have a nice day Susan
Chucky often fails versus the very top. He also often flatters to deceive. That said he is of course a terrific player and a fine gentleman.I do like him and respect him for that.
you could have a 12 years old boy with 3500 elos , there will be a weirdoo talking non sens about eggs in a pan …
It is highly unlikely that anon of 3:13 is an American. That is, to be more precise, a native-born, English speaking, Amercian- since the USA is very diverse.
There are three distinct English errors that such an American would not make- even a highly illiterate one liable to make an wide assortment of OTHER mistakes.
1) “HALLO”. No English speaking person would spell “hello” this way. They might, if whimsical, put a hyphen in it thusly: Hell-O?
2) “2675 elos” Anyone with enough knowledge to call know that the system to call it the ELO system, would not refer to a rating in the plural. It’s just not heard that way by a native speaker. This is clearly someone thinking in another language and translating their thoughts into English.
3) “Carlsen the big thing” Almost any native English speaker would have automatically expressed this phrase thus: “The NEXT big thing.” Or he or she would have said “Carlsen A big thing.” This
This is not to criticize Anon of 3:13. I think his or her point is obvious: Carlsen’s only 18 years old and has aquired an extraordinarily high rating. It is OBVIOUS that he is a “big thing” or “the NEXT big thing” already.
There are many Americans who are uncouth, loud, stupid and boistrous, just as the stereotype portrays them. However, there are also a good many who are not. The country is, as I said above, diverse. As someone who has traveled very widely, I can say that Americans, just as peoples of every other nation, have good points and bad points. Anon 7:02’s assumption that Anon 3:13 is an American just from those few brief words is one of those “bad points. “
