Laredo chess champ brings the game home

A former state chess champion is doing his part to bring the game to people in his community.
At Tuesday’s Kiwanis club Joel Sauceda talked about the game of chess and how it can benefit more than just students.
Sauceda works as a pharmacist in Laredo, but has spent much of his life playing chess.
A graduate of Cigarroa High School he became the youngest state chess champion ever from Laredo.
This weekend he has organized a chess tournament on April 16th and 17th.
The Laredo open has a $45 entry fee and has several divisions open to the public.
