There is this image from ChessBase, taken at the same time and included in this story about the Chess960 Computer World Championship, held in August 2005.
The caption reads, “Bobby Fischer playing Fischer Random against Susan Polgar in Budapest in 1993”
Curiously, I seem to recall seeing one of these photos in a more recent story in which Susan was misidentified as Miyoko Watai, Fischer’s wife! Has anyone else seen that?
Cathy Forbes (now Cathy Warwick)played an off-hand game against Fischer at the time of his comeback match against Karpov. I haven’t seen a photo, however.
Cathy was the author of a book THE POLGAR SISTERS as well.
She wrote regular notes on the Impala blog this Spring during her taining for the London marathon. Se, for example –

There’s a link to Cathy’s game with Fischer in this blog –

Is that really you, Susan??
why do people still care?

@anonymous 1 post above:
That video was so biased it is not even funny. It is also innacurate, saying that Fischer did not resurface until after 2001. It failed to mention the Yugoslavia match, and to the uninformed, it made Fischer out to be purely evil and failed to address the fact that he has deep psychological issues probably stemming from his childhood.
I’m not an anti-semite, and Fischer is totally wrong for what he did, but I refuse to believe he is beyond redemption. I also feel that he should not be judged for his words alone. He became bitter over many years, and the United States did little to help with that.
“About ten years ago I played a few Chess960 games with Bobby Fischer in Budapest. Svetozar Gligoric took me to Budapest, where I met Fischer. He did not want to play classical chess, only Chess960. We just played a few blitz games, I even managed to win a few, and I liked it a lot.

Zhaoqin Peng beat Bob!!!!
I just managed to beat Bobby Fischer last night at a meeting with him at his home. We like to play Random chess a lot.
That dress looks like FabricRandom.
