Aronian did it again!
H Bomb got cheated by a bad clock
Probably going to be an appeal. But since H Bomb is American the socialist Spaniards will screw him.
Welcome to Bobby Fishers world.
Strange that Nakamura lost on time, while he had 54 seconds for his last move.

Chucky and Carlsen are exciting tournament players, but may not have the nerve to last out in a one on one long match up with their peers. Naka was perhaps a bit too slow and all credit to Pons. Anand might be slipping up and I wouldn’t be surprised if that other accomplished veteran Gelfand trips him up. Aronian is well capable of beating Anand in a one on one,but then he has to qualify first! Poor Anand! In danger of winning the ‘Wooden Spoon’!. Bye Bye Anand – looks like from now on it’s the Booby Prize for you! Hope I’m mistaken!
I can’t believe Naka lost on time!?!?! Rumor has it that he asked an arbiter and was told he had passed move 40. Still, as I had hoped, the exciting Ivanchuk and young guns are doing great, and Anand is way down.
I don’t think Anand is slippping. Yes, this was an aweful tournament for him but his intent was just to stay solid (with boring lines) without revealing any of his preparations. The problem is he couldn’t play solid…AT ALL. He showed some new sharp lines against Shirov and again in Botvinik in rapid setup but held back completely in Bilbao.
I am sure he will go back to his study room with all those losing lines and perfect them to the point that nobody will ever be able to challenge him with them.
I think this will make it even tougher for Gelfand.
A very good analysis by Anon 7.03 pm.Anand WILL prevail against Gelfand!

\\this is crazy good soap Oparah material… stuff…lots of ups and downs ..but Naka losing on time likr this is ridiculous. If I was his opponent I would not accept such a point…but Mr Ponce seems to have no probelms with it. Reminds me of a game Between Denker and Reshevsky..when the arbiter told Denker he lost..(Even though it was obvious he did not forfeit on time) and the arbiter simply refused to acknowlege his mistake. I’ts hard to fight people who are convinced that being stupid is what they want to do. Hikaru deserves more respect than this.
