Chess Daily News from Susan Polgar
Naturally. Even look at the list. Kramnik is mentioned below Anand. Who won with the BLACK pieces? Yet, Anand, the FIDE favorite is listed on the top, even with the same score. Another point proven.
Yes, not just that either. Kramnik begins with a K, while Anand begins with an A, meaning Anand it further up the alphabet – even more evidence of bias and favorism!
Not to mention the elo rating.Anand is 2788 and Kramnik is 2772. You would expect the lower ranked player to be listed above a higher ranked player right?
Tells me your crooked definition of injustice. Take off your Kramnik blinds and get practical.
Sorry to say that, ano 4:38 and ano 4:48, but your posts are both senseless answers to the post of the first ano. I do not like ano 3:58’s post but I do not like yours as well as it feels you just answered without thinking.
“1-3. Anand, Viswanathan
1-3. Kramnik, Vladimir 1-3. Aronian, Levon”
So this is sorted by alphabet?
Kramnik before Aronian?
So this is sorted by ELO?
Kramnik before Aronian?
Anand, Aronian, Kramnik would be the sort by ELO and the sort by name.
Susan, this is really interesting… What gives the sort system here?
Best wishes
Jochen
Ties are always sorted by tie-break points, whatever the tie-break system is for this event. It’s as simple as that – no bias, no injustice.
There are some other very good reasons too:
India = 5 letters
Russia = 6 letters
Armenia = 7 letters
also,
Viswanathan = 11 letters
Vladimir = 8 letters
Levon = 5 letters
The rule is simple: “age before beauty”
It could be record against Kasparov:
Anand = 26 to 8
Kramnik = 22 to 21
Aronian = 0 to 0
or by birth date too:
Right:
Anand = 11 December 1969
Kramnik = 25 June 1975
Aronian = 6 October 1982
Thanks, ano 7:46, that makes sense. (Though I wonder why they don’t say that Anand is clear first when he has the best tie breaks).
Hmmm…
With the results being played so far the tie breaks can’t be very different. Propably there is only a small difference in any second tie break (Sonnebornberger 2) or anything.
So in tie breaks it is close enough to stay exciting. 😉
Again, thanks for the one good answer, ano 7:46. Could have thought of this, too…
