Federation Royale Belge des Echecs has announced the lineups for the World Chess Olympiad, which will be held in August in Istanbul, Turkey.

Men’s Team:
Alexander Dgebuadze, International Grandmaster (ELO 2548)
Luc Winants, International Grandmaster (2537)
Bart Michiels, International Master (2502) and Belgian Champion
Tanguy Ringoir, International Master (2413)
Stephane Hautot, International Master (2399)

Daniyal Saiboulatov (International Master 2391) is the first reserve.
This team, with two Grandmasters and three International Masters, is the strongest Belgian roster in the Olympics since decades.

Women’s Team:
Anna Zozulia, International Master (2342) and Belgian Champion
Eva Baekelant, Women FIDE Master (2128)
Hanne Goossens (2032)
Wiebke Barber (1908) and Champion of Belgium in 2010
Anne-Marie Maeckelbergh (1906)

Natasha Mabille (1859) is the reserve player.

This is the first participation of Belgian ladies in the Chess Olympiad since Moscow 1994.
