Chess Daily News from Susan Polgar
It’s amazing that Zatonskih, Krush and Baginskaite are not leading.
I am very surprised by the lack of Blog commentary from Susan for the Women’s Championship Tournament. All we keep seeing is a standing table after each round.
For many of the men’s tournaments Susan has been very active in analyzing and annotating key matches, running polls on predictions of the winner, etc.
Now we have a tournament that highlights our top USA Women players and it is almost ignored by Susan who normally does a wonderful job of promoting young girls and women in the USA to play chess.
Why is this? Is Susan ill or distracted with other business or personal affairs?
It seems like she is missing a great opportunity to do commentary on Women’s Chess, a subject which she normally champions.
Rich, I have court and other obligations. I do not have the time to do more than just report the results.
Best wishes,
Susan Polgar
I am disappointed at Krush’s results – draws against the number 2 and 3 rated opponents in the match; only clear win is against the lowest rated opponent. The 11 move draw yesterday with the number 2, Zatonskih was a highly disappointing non-event.
