Azerbaijani leads chess tournament in Iran

Azer Mirzoyev has notched up four straight victories to take the lead in the Caspian Cup in the Iranian city of Rasht.

Mirzoyev beat Armenian Samvel Ter-Sahakyan in the fourth round of the tournament.

Another Azerbaijani chess player, Farid Abbasov, is in third place with 3.5 points.

Vugar Rasulov is amongst the tournament’s top ten. He took eighth place with three points after beating Armenian Karen Grigoryan in the fourth round.
