Awonder Liang, winner of the 2011 Susan Polgar Foundation World Open for Boys (picture above) in Chicago, has just captured the Gold medal at the World Youth under 8 in Brazil. He was a full point ahead of the field going into the final round. In spite of the last round lost, he still won on tiebreaks.
