The 5th Annual Austin Chess Club Championship was held on 2-4th January, 2015, at the Bridge Center of Austin, 6700 Middle Fiskville Rd., Austin, Texas, USA.
The tournament format was 5-round Swiss in three sections: Championship, Reserve and Novice. The total prize fund was 3400 USD.
The main Championship section had 75 participants. FM Li Ruifeng and Githoro Mbugua Bo shared the first place with 4,5/5 points each to earn 500 USD apiece. FM Michael Langer is declared the 2015 Austin Chess Club Champion.
Dean Hicks and David Nightingale tied for first in the Reserve section with 4,5/5, taking home $325 each.
The only perfect score was posted by Marc Jalandoon in the Novice section, taking clear first place and $250.
