YEREVAN, March 29. /ARKA/. Chess grandmaster of Armenia Levon Aronian implies he still has chances to win Candidates Tournament London 2013, Novosti-Armenia agency reports Friday.
“I don’t think the tournament has finished already,” he said at a news conference after losing the game to Russia’s Peter Svidler.
Aronian acknowledged like in the game with Gelfand he had made a tactical blunder.
Replying to a journalist who wondered whether Carlsen and Kramnik were adopting a better strategy, the Armenian replied: “I think it would be better if I answered this after the end of the tournament.

It’s still not over.
Levon Aronian was not World Chess champion in 2005. He won the 2005 World Chess Cup tournament.
Well… It’s finished now since you lost of Kramnik too 🙁
Aronian knew he could not win anymore, so decided to give Kramnik a boost! What a chump.
with just two rounds to go, I cannot see either Kramnik or Carlsen BLUNDER twice in a row (That’s what Aronian needs to qualify). even if that happens, Aronian needs to win both his matches(this might just be possible)…
Still backing Kramnik on this one… would like to see my 2 favourite players battle it out for the ChampionshiP!
Just goes to prove that ratings don’t count in important tournaments. Carlsen had more than 110 points on Chucky, but Chucky won, and with black, too.
