Armenian designated head coach of Russian Men’s National Chess Team

MOSCOW. – By decision of the Chess Federation of Russia, the Women’s National Team Head Coach Yury Dokhoyan is appointed head coach of the Men’s team, ITAR-TASS News Agency reported.

In the words of Federation’s Vice President Sergey Smagin, the result of Dokhoyan’s work will be the Russian national squad’s performance at the 2012 World Olympiad.

Grandmaster Yury Dokhoyan was the coach and the second of 13th World Chess Champion, Garry Kasparov, for many years.

And in the past three years under Dokhoyan’s coaching, Russia’s Women’s National Chess Team captured several international championship titles.
