Anand stops Sasikiran to enter final
NEW DELHI, October 30, 2011
World champion Viswanathan Anand stopped a fighting K. Sasikiran 3-1 to move into the final of the Corsica Masters knock-out rapid chess championship at Bastia on Saturday.
Sasikiran, who won the nine-round Swiss qualifying phase with a score of 7.5 points, managed to hold Anand with both colours before the favourite proved superior twice in succession.
