Susan,
Is there a reason that you know of why Judit is down to number 20? Is being a mom distracting her from her game?
SUPER congratulations to Anand, but a small question arises from the pictures. He seems to be wearing shirts and jackets with the logo NIIT quite often. Is that his Alma Mater? Is it appropriate? It may appear to be almost like those athletes who are paid to wear commercial logos.
Any information or opinions on this?
It is his sponsor, a computer company. They are the one who sponsor the major scholastic chess program in India.
Best wishes,
Susan Polgar
Susan, how would you fare in a 24 game match vs. Koneru ?
Why would it matter? Susan has never lost a match to any female player. Koneru needs another 3 years to have a chance.
Hello Susan,
One question…why have you quit playing Chess?
I believe you can win Women’s crown at your will any time…
Have you at least thought of it just for the sake of money, if not fame (which you already have!)
Thank you!
Never mind…I just read this!

NIIT = National Institute of Information Technology
It’s a private Indian company and has Anand as its brand ambassador. So yes, Anand does benefit financially by endorsing NIIT.
It seems that the Woman’s World Champion Xu Yuhua is inactive since April 2006, but she is 2517 and would be #6 in the list. Assuming that she holds the title, still (?! I am not sure).
The former Woman’s Champion Xie Jun is 2573 but the latest rated games are from January, 2005.
Topalov is sinking, and I’m glad about it.
Yes, there is a special sub-site about Anand at the NIIT web-site:
http://www.niit.com/vishy/
But the asshole Kramnik is no longer a false champion, and I am darn glad about it too! As for Topalov, he will be back soon to challenge Anand.
