it’s a possible stalemate. Draw.
Kg3… black moves and Nf3++
The first move is 1.Kg3 with the idea h4 and Nf4 mate
1… Qh1 to defend h4
Now slowly
2.h3 d5 (what else?)
3.Kf2!! to play Ne1, Ng3 and g4 mate.
Maybe there is a defense but I think this is a win
I am in agreement with Kg3 as the winning move for white.
It doesn’t work. Kg3 then Qh1. No dice.
1-0
1.Kg3 Qh1
2.Bd2 d5
3.Ne5 Qd1
4.Kh3 Qxd2
5.g4+ Kxg5
6.Nf3+ Kf4
7.Nxd2 Ke3
white will win !!
For Anonymous
Kg3 Qh1 Nf4 mate
for frengo.
n-f4, kxg5
chess lover
your line is a beautifull win but against 2.Bd2 d5 is not necessary
Black must play 2… Qd1 and if 3.Bc1 Qc1 with repetition.
if white plays 3.h4 Qxd2 4.Nf4+ Qxf4+ 5.Kxf4 Kxh4 seems draw.
I didn´t find any defence against the line I sugest:
1. Kg3 Qh1 2.h3 d5 3.Kf2 to play Ne1-Nf3-g4#
1. Kg3 d5 2.Nf4 is not mate (2 .. Kxg5) and after 3. Nxd5+ Kf5 the forking square at e3 is defended by the pawn d4.
1. Kg3 d5 2. h4 Qxd3+ 3. exd3 =
1. Kg3 d5 2. Kh3 (idea g4++) Qxd3+ =
1. Kg3 d5 2. Kf3 Qf1 3. Kg3 Qd1 repeats
1. Kg3 d5 2. Be3 dxe3 3. h4 Qxd3 4. exd3 d2 5. Kh3 d1(q) 6. g4++
assuming 1 … Qh1 is refuted, can black improve by not taking the bishop?
1.Kg3 d5 2.Be3!!(Tom Crispin) is a brilliant move
Now 2… dxe3 3.h4 Qf1 4.Nf4+ Qxf4+ 5.Kxf4 Kxh4 6.Kxe3 Kxg5 7.Kd4 wins the pawn ending
I think 1… Qh1 is refuted and 1…d5 too
It´s done!
