Carlsen is moving closer to the #1 ranking in the world. After coasting in the last 2 games, he has a battle in his hands in this round against Volokitin, another very talented young player.

Drawish fairies go away!
Likely yet another quick draw. I hope Volotikin avoids it.
Its move 65 and it looks like Carlsen could lose. He’s going to lose that last pawn I think.
sergey where is the live game?

You have to install their chess tool to view though. Looks like the game drew… Crafty says Volokitin’s position was 1.66 pawns better though. Dunno maybe its a theoretical draw and Crafty is wrong.
Thanks!
Iy does look drawish from here.
Damn faries.
The game’s drawn now. However, I think it is fair to say that Carlsen was never in a risk of losing it. He played a little imprecise after the opening and allowed Volokitin to unravel, then over-pushed and had to head for the drawn endgame. Good though that he tried ’til the very end.
