9th Internet-based FIDE Arbiter Seminar organized by the North American Chess Association

This seminar is required for those seeking the title of FIDE Arbiter. We will review the following topics: Laws of Chess, Tournament Rules, Systems of Games, Tie Breaks, Swiss System and Pairing Rules. There will be an open book / open notes examination on the 4th day of the seminar.

Classes will be conducted online between 9am – 3pm Chicago time. You must have access to a computer with a reliable Internet connection with speakers on your computer as all sound/voice will come through your computer speakers.

You must attend all 3 course sessions for the entire time and successfully complete the exam on the 4th day with a score of 80% of greater.

The organizer reserves the right to deny participation to any individual.

The lecturer will be International Arbiter and Chairman of the Arbiters Commission – Mr. Panagiotis Nikolopoulos.

The assistant lecturer will be International Arbiter Sevan A. Muradian.

This is a free course.

This course will have a maximum of 20 participants.
