Dear Chess friends,
Organizing Committee has received till now one hundred registrations for the 80th FIDE CONGRESS. Among them PB members, EB members, Delegates, Commissions’ Chairmen & members and federations’ officers.
Because of the multiple obligations of many congress participants O.C. will accept late registrations till end of September. The O.C. can not guarantee visa issues for late applications.
The participants already registered are advised to send their travel details the soonest in order
to schedule their transportation and bookings with the best way.
For any information concerning technical matters please contact FIDE secretariat: office@fide.com. For any other information please contact Mr. Theodoros Tsorbatzoglou – 0030 231 0 865778, teotsorb@otenet.gr .
1. Does it say anywhere in the FIDE Congress Laws of Chessthat a draw offer/agreement can’t be made before the game, only to be repeated during the game, securing the legal end of the same?
2. Are the players allowed to talk to each other in between two rounds? And in such cases, are they allowed to help one another against a third player, making it an unfair tournament at best?
I do hope these issues get cleared up in the Congress at Greece.
