This will be the seventh edition of our summer chess festival in the wonderful place of Erice, Italy.

We will offer, as usual, to chess players and their companions: cheap prices, good weather, great cooking and great chess masters!

Three Opens:
– A for players with >1900 rating
– B for players with < 1900 rating in 9 rounds
– C for players with will be played from July 28th to August 4th, 2016 in Erice.

Invited titled players will be at hand to help achieving of norms.

Erice in western Sicily (Italy) is 15 km away from ‘airport “Vincenzo Florio” in Trapani (Ryanair Hub), is a true and proper tourist pearl of Sicily, located about 700 meters above sea level overlooking the sea. To arrive in Erice, can reach Trapani by plane (Vincenzo Florio airport) with daily Ryanair flights offering direct connections from leading Italian and European airports as Paris , Girona, Bratislava, Frankfurt Hann, Eindhoven, Kaunas, Krakow, Warsaw at very cheap prices.

Some organized excursions will be programmed to wonderful San Vito beach and the archaeological Greek area of Segesta.

However, players and guests interested in prolonging their stay and enjoy the area in a relaxed manner, the organizer has arranged for the special hotel prices to be valid from 22 July to 8 August. Special packages to include accommodation, excursions and entry fee are also possible.
