Tommy faced a tough opponent in the last round. He played his opponent Yash in another National and they had a marathon draw. This game went to a 73 move Rook and pawn endgame marathon. It was the last game in the grade 2 section. Both had 5.5 / 6 entering this round. Tommy finally squeezed out a win to capture the National Grade 2 Championship title. But Tommy is sad that he did not have a chance to play his friend Christopher Wu, the youngest All-American in the US and the best in the country.
