I don’t think Kamsky deserves to be in this league yet. Probably a three way between rest is a good idea
Kamsky destroyed Kramnik 5.5-1.5 in a candidate match before he quit chess.
Wanna see the 4 of them in action too.
I would find a 4-player double round robin. These are the 4 non-kasparov/Karpov players in the 1996 FIDE rating lists! It is great that they are still at the top in the latest cycle a dozen years later! Kamsky definitely fits.

I agree.

I agree too with the two bozos. Kamsky is really above whatever league they are talking about.
Can’t wait. Just watch.
Of course the poll assumes starting with a blank slate. Nobody voted that the rules should be changed in midstream, making the whole thing rather pointless.
And since large numbers of the chess public won’t accept a champion crowned in a tournament, it seems silly to discuss bringing on another schism just because an unscientific poll said it would be “exciting”.
Really, this is a filler article. Next…
They will end up with 11 draws and 1 win.
Go Vishy!
Kramnik cannot play a 24 game match. His health won’t allow it. That is why I consider him the weakest of the 14 world champions. He will lose to Anand 6.5 to 4.5 next year, but would lose 12.5 to 7.5 in a traditional match. All in all, why not keep things traditional and continue the line started in 1886? A Kramnik- Anand match- suggesting otherwise shows a lack of appreciation for chess history.

Yes, but that evaluation is based on a wild guess rather than an evaluation of anything.

Yeah, but that’s the way people seem to have been trained to think in the internet age. Screw the law, screw the rules, screw everything. What really matter is your gut feeling.
It’s democracy in action, at its worst. Since all people are politically equal, the next step is that all ideas are equal too. Uninformed gut feelings being every bit as good as reasoned judgments. Hence the proliferation of online polls, where they do absurd things like ask you to judge the merits of a criminal case that you may have read just the one article about. When they ask me if the jury got it right, I always want there to be a “How the heck should I know?” option. I’d vote for that.
Why only 12 games? I would prefer longer 14-16 games atleast. The shortening the number of games with every match.
