While the folks at SPICE are working hard to provide an excellent event for our youngsters, the USCF chess politicians are busy trying to figure out how to kill the Polgar event and chess. Congratulations Mr. Goichberg and Mr. Berry for your vision of destroying the growth of chess in America. You both should be ashamed of yourself.
To be fair to all the participants (not all of them have or can afford a coach with them), chess games of the players should be published only after the entire tournament is over. We certainly appreciate the effort of the volunteers to input the games and publish them; but to avoid unfair advantage to some (or at least the appearance of such), it is better to wait till the tournament is over to do that.
My daughter doesn’t have a coach and she appreciates the games by the next day. Who would enter the games after the tournament? It’s not a feasible solution.
As a chess coach with a student at the tournament I am very pleased with the games being posted.Student without coaching can still have their games analyzed by a good chess program! After all why have a coach if he or she cannot do their job!
