They’re a dynasty!
Susan,
This is your blog. We all know that. It is supposedly related with chess. It makes me think why you post basketball and golf event while there are such important interviews with Vladimir Kramnik. You had given a link to one of the initial parts of the interview. But you did not give any to this one. Do you think that it is irrelevant ? You had given so many links and references to Topalov’s and Danailov’s and Bulgarian Chess Federation’s views on the subject. But you seem to skip this one. I hope it is accidental. In case you have not heard about it, here is the link :

Yeah! Go Lakers!
Congratulations to the Spurs!
BTW, I think though they won the NBA championship, not a “World championship”. The NBA is the most powerfull baslet league but it is not the “World”…
Again, congrats to the Spurs for an incredible 4-0 sweep.
World Championship, World series?? Only temas from good old US, well you guys think US IS the world. F… Kyoto agreements etc..
Congratulations to the Spurs!, I think Tony Parker played great but the real MVP should be David Stern, and the 6th man award for Stu Jackson.
Um, the Blue Jays won the world series. Twice.
The Raptors had a shot this year.
Don’t get me started on Kyoto.
Maybe the teams are almost all American, (don’t forget Toronto)but the players aren’t. Just in the Finals alone there were Parker, Varejao, Ginobili, Ilgauskas–all foreign, and I’m sure I’m forgetting some. Not to mention all the foreigners on other teams as well.
And I don’t think the NBA finals have anything to do with the Kyoto Agreement, sorry. Believe it or not, not everything we do here is as self-centered as you might think. It’s a big country, and you’ll always be able to find examples of arrogance and ignorance, but you’ll find just as many cases of friendliness and compassion as well. It’s a shame that one seems to overshadow the other so much these days.
I know a guy at my school who’s a big Spurs fan. I don’t root for them, though. I like the Lakers.
