2nd edition International Prize for His Majesty King Mohammed VI in Casablanca, Morocco

The 2nd edition International Prize from His Majesty King Mohammed VI takes place from 28th January to 5th February, 2015, at the Sacré Coeur Cathedral, in the splendid city of Casablanca, situated on the western part of Morocco on the Atlantic Ocean.

The event is organized under the auspices of the Council of the Greater Casablanca Region, the Council of the City of Casablanca and the potential of Casablanca in two main tournaments – International Open Tournament, open to international and domestic players with a federal license or ID FIDE, and Open Youth Tournament (U20) with a valid federal license for the 2014 season.

Three players lead the International Open with 6/7 points – GM Sergei Tiviakov, GM Sergey Kasparov and GM Huynh Minh Huy Nguyen, while Mehdi Jamari heads the field of 106 players in the Youth Tournament with the impressive 6.5/7.
