The 2nd Chess Summer Rapid Tournament is organized by the Milenij Hotels d.o.o. and Chess Club “Rijeka” on 22nd July at the Milenij Grand Hotel in Opatija, Croatia.

Time of tournament’s beginning: Sunday, 22.07.2012, at 10.00 am
System of play: Swiss / 9 rounds
Time control: 15 minutes per player
Top 10 boards will be broadcasted live at www.rijekachess.com

Prize fund : 10.000,00 kunas; 1 € = 7,5 kunas
Participation fee: 60,00 kunas (includes lunch!),cadets 30,00 kunas ,the Grand Masters pay no organisation fee
Participation fee for players that register at the day the tournament started is 70,00 kunas

The Organizer is providing chess sets and digital clocks for all boards.
The amount of players is limited to 100 and the tournament is started played under FIDE rules for rapid chess.
The tournament will be registered with FIDE’s rating for “rapid” chess.
The prizes are not cumulative and they will be transferred on to the players’ accounts in nett
The prizes will not be shared and in case of the same number of points the following criteria decides:
a) middle Buchholz; b) Buchholz; c) progress ; d) more wins ; e) draw
