Will GM Wesley So be playing in 2014 SPICE CUP? And who are the other participants? It would be a great tournament with GM’s Wesley So, Le, Kamsky, Dominguez, Bruzon and US # junior Robson around. These people are all readily available in US. Just wishful thinking though. We hope to see the final participants soon. TY
It would be great if the 2014 SPICE CUP will employ the Sophia Rules so we wont be seeing lots of draws and boring games. And point system with every win earns a point but a draw or a loss would not earn any points at all. In this way, everyone will be figthing hard for a win and the games will create a lot of fireworks and excitement. Just a suggestion though. 🙂
You should get this posted in 2700chess.com so they could calendar this October as there will surely be a lot of 2700+ GM’s participating.
I hope GM Judith Polgar will play in this tournament. Love to see her in actual chess combat 🙂
I hope GM Wesley So will get an invite and play in the 6th London Chess Classic this December. We will be waiting and expecting him to play here in England.
I would like to see GM Nakamura play in the 2014 SPICE CUP. Its way much better than the 4 game match against Navarra. That is if Nakamura has the balls to play in such a strong tournament. They should also invite Navarra so other players can milk him of his elo points like Nakamura did lol
Is this a Round Robin Event or a DRR Event? Just asking
This is not a SPICE Cup Invitational but SPICE Cup Open, a free for all royal rumble. Last invitational they made was 2012 and it was a 6 man DRR tournament 🙁
