The 2008 Chess Olympiad which will take place in Dresden, Germany for the first time after 38 years. It will run from 12 to 25 of November, 2008. I have seen the venue and the area and it is fantastic. I fully expect this Olympiad to be a spectacular event.

There are no words to describe the feelings of the Olympiad. Over 1,500 players, coaches and captains are expected to be in Dresden to represent their countries for shot a the medals. Even if you are not playing, make plans to visit this beautiful city during this historic event.
