Last year, our US women’s team ranked 3rd and our average rating was over 2490! That’s 76 average rating points higher! Our men’s team last year had an average rating of 2623.
Beatriz Marinello should resign from the executive board for destroying the US women’s olympiad team and program. She has no business voicing her opinion about women’s chess since she doesn’t support it at all.
Why is this Beatriz on the board? Is this the same woman who signed the deal with the drug company Natrol to promote drugs for kids?
Yes, she’s the same person. And she also blew $1mil for the USCF in the crossville deal.
Don’t understand why they just don’t play in strict rating order. Nakamura and Krush would do the team better by playing up a board.
Don’t forget about the USCF rating. Zatonskih is 50 points higher than Krush and both Onischuk and Kamsky are higher than Nakamura.
Please dont play 1. e4 2. Qh5 Nakamura.
not too bad.,….just missing susan Polgar!!whats the matter with these politicians???
Marinello was just jealous of the success of other female players. Isn’t it obvious?
Onischuk should be 1st board. In the US championships Onischuk played magnficently. Therefore Onischuk were he at MTel would be doing better than even Kamsky.
USCF should always listen to Susan’s advice about chess. She is a proven master.
Why arent Susan Polgar on the womans team?
USCF should have payed you any amount to play. A blank cheque.
Susan Polgar had indicated much earlier that she won’t play in the 2006 Olympiad. Additionally, she didn’t fulfill the activity requirements.
Inactive? Fischer was inactive for 20 years, and we all saw how he played with Spassky – very, very, very good!
Then why don’t you campaign for Fischer’s inclusion. After all, he has a greater rating than Susan Polgar.
