The European University Sports Association (EUSA)recognized chess as an official sport and included it in the European Universities Championships and Games.
The 1st European Chess Universities Championship will be held in Yerevan, Armenia from 6th to 11th October 2015.
The main organizer is Armenian Student Sports Federation (ARMSSF), with the support of the Armenian Chess Federation.
The registration deadline is extended until 15th September 2015. The registrations are to be made through the National Sports Universities Federations online on the EUSA web site.

Since this is a new event, the ECU kindly advises the chess federations to contact their respective National Sports Universities’ Federation and encourage them to support chess players’ registration, representing their Universities.
