2nd to 10th July at the The Culture House in Klatovy, Czech Republic

The 19th Cup of the Town of Klatovy is scheduled to take place from 2nd to 10th July at the The Culture House Klatovy, Domazlicka 676. Two tournaments, Open A for players rated over 1850 and Open B for players U2000, will be played over nine rounds of Swiss system.

Situated near the south-west Czech-German border, the prominent West Bohemian town of Klatovy, known as the “Gate to the Sumava Mountains”, is a major administrative centre of the surrounding region.

The town, which today has more than 23 thousand inhabitants, is dominated by the famous Black Tower, built between 1547-57, and the twin white towers of the Jesuit church completed in 1679. The town of Klatovy was founded around the year 1260 by King Premysl Otakar II near an old market village.
