The 14th International Réunion Island Open will take place from 6th to 13th October at the Village Hall of Bellepierre in Saint-Denis, Réunion Island.

The tournament is organized by the Echiquier du Nord and will be held over 9 rounds of Swiss system.

The prize fund is 7300 EUR, with the top seven prizes being 1200 / 1000 / 800 / 600 / 500 EUR. There are also special prizes for Women, Veterans, Reunion players, Clubs and elo categories.

Among the 78 currently registered players, top rated are the last year winner IM Akshat Khamparia from India and GM Hans-Joachim Hecht from Germany.
