The 14th International Chess Festival Condom 2015 will take place from 11-18th July, at the Salle Pierre de Montesquiou, in Condom, France.

Condom, also referred to as Condom-en-Armagnac, is a commune in southwestern France in the department of Gers. Condom is a town on the Via Podiensis, one of the three major French arms of the pilgrimage route, the Way of St. James. This particular route begins in Le Puy and ends in Santiago de Compostela in northwest Spain.

The event is a 9-round Swiss Open, organized by the Condom Chess Club. The tempo of play will be (90′ for 40 moves + 30′ + 30″ per move from he beginning.

The sponsors of the tournament provide the hefty prize fund in total of 6,000 €.

The festival will be split into two categories – Category A (Open to all participants, rated 1700 or more) Category B (Open to all player, rated below 1800).

Traditionally, a closed IM tournament will be held at same time. The is still a place for candidate for an IM norm.

The winner of the International Chess Festival Condom 2014 was IM Philippe Brochet (GM Matthieu Cornette in 2013, GM Eric Prié in 2012).

Registration fees are 50€/25€ (U20 or >2300 elo at 01/07/2015)

First round at 18:00h on 11th July.

The organizers provide different activities during the week, with a Poker tournament and a Blitz tournament.
