The 14th Dubai Junior Chess Tournament 2016 is going to be organized by Dubai Chess & Culture Club from 19th – 27th July 2016.
The event is a 9-round Swiss tournament with time control 90′ + 30″, open to all chess players (Boys/ Girls) Under 14 Years (Born 2002 and later) who have registered FIDE ID.
Last day of registration is 20th June 2016 (Penalty Fees applicable after this date). No Application will be accepted after 5 th July 2016.

The prize fund in the amount of US$ 10,000 will be awarded as follows:
1. US$ 2,000 + Cup & Gold Medal
2. US$ 1,600 + Silver Medal
3. US$ 1,400 + Bronze medal

7. US$ 500

Special awards:
Best Emirati Player (Boys US$ 200, Girls US$ 200)
Best Dubai Chess Player (Boys US$ 200, Girls US$ 200)
Trophy and Cash Prizes will be awarded based on Tie break. Special Awards will be based on Rating Performance scored. Players would not be awarded double prizes. Winner of the Tournament SHOULD BE PRESENT AT THE CLOSING CEREMONY according to the Tournament’s regulation.
Tournament Registration & related Fees:
Players with a standard FIDE rating above 2000: Free
Players with a standard FIDE rating between 1501 – 1999: US$ 25
Players with standard FIDE rating less than 1500, or unrated: US$ 50
Late Registration Fee (20th June – 5th July 2016): US$ 25
Processing Visa Fee of an accompany Person: US$ 100
Hotel accommodation:
The (5-star) JW Marriott Dubai is the official Hotel of the tournament. The playing Venue is 10-minute drive from the hotel and transportation will be provided to/from the club.
Dubai International Airport is just a 10-minute away, a complimentary shuttle to Dubai Mall and Dubai City Center Mall is available.

For invited players with conditions, the Club will manage the booking for them.
The Organizer may provide a Full Board Accommodation in a double room with one accompany person for the Title Holders of World/European/Asian/North America/ South America Youth Championship (2015) depending on early registration and availability.
Confirmation of the conditions would require signing off an invitation letter.
Players with approved conditions will be escorted from the Airport (Dubai Terminal 1, 2 or 3 only) to the accommodation given that they submit exact flight details and arrival before 20th June 2016.
