The 13th Delhi International Chess Festival 2015 is set to take place on 9-16th January, 2015, at the Ludlow Castle Sports Complex, Civil Lines, New Delhi, India.
The Festival is following immediately after the 7th Chennai International Open Grandmaster Chess Tournament.
The event will consist of three sections:
– Category A, for players who crossed the FIDE rating of 2000 & above in their career, 10-round Swiss, 90 Minutes plus 30 seconds increment from move 1
– Category B (under 1899), 10-round Swiss, 60 Minutes plus 30 seconds increment from move 1
– Category C (under 1599), 10-round Swiss, 60 Minutes plus 30 seconds increment from move 1
Total cash prize fund is Rs. 30, 00, 000/- (approx 38,400 EUR), with 3800 EUR reserved for the winner of Category A.
The winner of the previous event was GM Abhijeet Gupta.

Eligibility:
Players who crossed the FIDE rating of 2000 & above in their career are only allowed to participate in this event.

Please note that a Tax @ 20.6% (as per Indian income tax regulations) will be deducted from the prize money to be awarded to Foreign Players.

Rated above 2300 Rs. 5000/-
Rated below 2299 Rs. 6000/-
Players, whose current rating is below 2000 but crossed the same earlier: Rs. 8000/-
Maximum entry for Delhi players Rs. 5000/-
(Note: – Those Players who are registered with Delhi State Chess Association on or before 30.11.2014 will be considered as Delhi Players)
No request towards waiver of entry fee will be entertained.

Accommodation:
All GMs will be provided free hotel accommodation on double sharing basis.
All IMs/WGMs/WIMs will be provided free hotel accommodation on double/triple sharing basis.
All other participants will be provided free accommodation on triple sharing basis/dormitory accommodation for entire duration of the event.
Weather:
The Weather in Delhi during January is expected to be cold. The minimum/maximum temperature will be around 10/25 Degree Celsius.
