Chess Daily News from Susan Polgar
Bulgarians are best!
Can’t wait until Topalov mops the floor with Anand.
Bulgarian is the best.
There is no plural. Just singular.
Anyone remembering the times when the top six players differentiated by less then 10 ELO points and the top player by live ELO sometimes changed day by day?
It’s better this way, isn’t it?
All I remember is that for the last 4 years, ever since Kasparov retired, only Anand and Topalov have been N1 in offical rankings. Which makes the upcoming match between the two the most logical way to decide the world champion. Can’t wait!
Jakovenko was world # 1 in ladies tennis BUT did anybody else apart from that stupid number crunching computer think so? At least she did not cheat to get there.
Here they go again… Any ACTUAL proof Topalov ever cheated? Naah. But the jobless kibitzers keep complaining on and on and on…
I’m not a fan of his act full of tricks and disrespect, so why should we give him any more than necessary: he’s a very good chess player, apperently at the top on this list, but by no means reigning as we see him suffer several defeats in almost any tournament he plays. Thís is a difference to a player like Kasparow.
