Chess Daily News from Susan Polgar
Perfect time to win for Carlsen over Anand!
The points are completely wrong.
Topalov 14
Aronian 13
Ivanchuk 12
Carlsen 12
Anand 7
Radjabov 7
It seems you use points after round 8.
Note: They’ll start 1 hour earlier today.
Go Vassily
If Carlsen doesn’t win against Anand this tournament, when will he ever? I sorrowly have to admit Anand is playing like an old man. Exchange all pieces and have a chitchat in a glass box.
In a tournament with 6 players it’s costly to have him around like this.
Don’t forget that Anand has a big match coming up, and it would be foolish of him to play at his maximum strength right now. Kramnik would love that.
I don’t doubt for a second that Vishy still has a few tricks up his sleeve.
Nonetheless, Carlsen has a unique chance to score his first win today.
I don’t forget that match. But why play if you obviously don’t want to? Yes, he earns money by playing, but as audience you don’t care about future matches, you want to see interesting games. He might have other priorities, I have mine.
